Summer is my favorite time of the year, and I want to enjoy it. I’ve been reading some awesome articles lately with ideas on how I can truly enjoy the rest of my summer – and my life. I’m reminded that I want to make some changes. Here are a couple of the articles I’m using for motivation:
The first article, “39 Ways to Live, and Not Merely Exist” from Dumb Little Man, has been around for quite a while. It’s a great reminder to live fully in the present. I don’t plan to attempt every idea in the article, but I do want to spend more time outdoors, be in the moment, and enjoy the little things.

The second article is “30 Days–What do you have to lose?” by Janet Callaway | The Natural Networker. Janet’s post has some wonderful inspiration on taking 30 days to try something new or make a needed change in your life. This short but thought-provoking video by Matt Cutts is part of the inspiration.
If nothing else, I love the idea of making time more memorable. I definitely plan to make 30-day challenges part of my life. My first challenge is to finish the editing of my eBook by working on it each day for the next 30 days.
Is there something you want to try or change for the next 30 days?

Deb, aloha. Thx so much for including my post with Matt’s video. Like you, what I particularly appreciated was his comment about making time more memorable. Prior to his saying that, I had not really thought about it.
Coupled with that great piece from Dumb Little Man, what a perfect way to be even more aware and more present.
So excited that you will have finished editing your book in the next 30 days. Another friend posted an entire list she wants to accomplish. In my google+ challenge, I am watching a webinar to help me utilize its potential faster.
Enjoy a wonderful weekend. Aloha. Janet

Thanks for your comment, Janet – and for the inspiration! I keep thinking about the concept of making time more memorable, and it makes so much sense. By using 30-day challenges, I’m hoping to start remembering something special from each month. It’s just too easy otherwise for time to pass in a blur. It’ll be fun to see what everyone does with the 30-day challenges. I hope you have a wonderful weekend, too!

How exciting to learn you are nearing the completion of an ebook! This was a wonderful post (and I LOVE that sunflower!!!), with great ideas. I read a post the other day about a trend in weddings, asking guests to be “unplugged” during the ceremony and be present instead of staring at a tiny screen trying to record the event. This made me think back on that yet again.
Have a great weekend!

Thanks so much for your kind comment, Snowcatcher! That sounds like an interesting post. Technology is awesome, but it can also make it a lot harder to stay in the present. I hope you have a great weekend, too!
